Softball games

WE WON AGAIN! Well, ok, the girls' softball team won! :) We have a double header today! Hope we win both games! :)

I'm getting a puppy!

Yep, I'm getting a puppy. A Farm Collie to be exact. :) She out in Texas and a friend of ours in Mobile (who's also getting one out of that litter) is going to pick her up for us and meet us a little north of Mobile to get her to us. I am so EXCITED!! :) I have been wanting an Old English Shepherd or a Farm Collie for a while. They are pretty much the same dogs as far as background goes.

The rest of the day was uneventful. We just chilled and relaxed around the house. Oh, I had to save the ducks from Honey (hound/lab mix...Jessica's dog). And I had to doctor a couple of them up, but they will be ok and not any major, life-threatening wounds. She was more playing with them than anything. I think she sees the chickens and ducks as feathered squeaky toys.....that move.

Now everyone is getting in bed and I think I'm not far behind them.......

Wow, so it's been nearly a year since my last post. Well I guess I need to stay on top of it, huh? Let's see....what's happened in the last year......

So we got custody of our middle granddaughter, Bella. She has been with us for all but 3 weeks of this year so far. She will be a year old on October 6th. I'm planning a nice little birthday party for her! The girls started their school work the beginning of August and they are doing a great job. We acquired some pygmy goats earlier in the year and had twin kids in early August. Sold one kid and kept the other, so now we have: 4 goats, 10 ducks, 4 guineas, 6 turkeys, 3 dogs, 4 cats and 23 chickens! :) I'm planning on getting a farm collie in the next couple of weeks too!
